Hoverboards have recently been in the news and subject of scrutiny after reports of the devices catching on fire and exploding.
Officials, airlines, and retail stores are now pulling the plug, by putting a ban on the toy and asking hoverboards manufacturers to provide documentation demonstrating that all hoverboards are compliant with the applicable safety standards.
In an effort to reduce the fire hazard, LabTest Certification can provide evaluation to UN 38.3 (battery), UL 1642 (battery), and UL/CSA 60950-1 (charger).
Hoverboards marked with the LC Verification mark will demonstrate compliance with the above mentioned standards.
