  1. Installation to be permanently connected, Pollution Degree 4 or better, Overvoltage Category I.
  2. Not evaluated for use with flammable fluids.
  3. Powered by certified Class 2 Power Supply as defined in the Canadian Electrical Code or National Electrical Code or by a CSA C22.2 No.60950 -1/ UL 60950-1 certified limited power source (LPS).
  4. Wiring end must be installed in conduit or other Type 4 enclosure.
  5. Models with DIN 43650A connector (nomenclature 22) are limited to Class I and not to be used for Class II applications.
  6. Ex d model is intended for installation using metallic conduit and requires installer to comply with appropriate codes to complete proper installation to meet the assigned hazardous area designation. The integral conductors shall be suitably mechanically protected and terminated in a suitable terminal or junction facility. The electrical connection to the transmitter must be used as originally supplied. It must not be bypassed or modified. Improper assembly or alteration of the electrical connection will invalidate the explosion protection class for which the transmitter is certified. Explosion-proof (Ex d) model installation shall also meet the IS installation requirements.
