1. The manufacturer’s compliance label shall be placed on each unit prior to application of the cLC mark.
2. Installation instructions shall be provided with each fixture.
3. All stationary signs shall be provided with an integral disconnect to de-energize all live conductors.
4. Fixtures shall be connected to the power source by a qualified electrician.
5. Sheet-metal faces and panels shall be secured by welds, soldering, rivets, bolts, suitable joints or other equivalent means.
6. Joints shall be tight-fitting and the edges of the metal shall overlap if the sign face exceeds 1.40 m.
   Note: A sheet-metal splice-piece behind a butt-joint, secured to both adjoining panels, can be considered to satisfy the overlap requirement.

7. Soldering or adhesives shall not be the sole means of securing metal to metal unless the sign face or panel is less than 1.40 m² in area.
8. If sheet-metal screws are used, they shall be so located or protected that the points and/or threads of the screws cannot cause injury to the insulation of conductors.
9. Nonmetallic panels and faces shall be not less than 0.45 mm thick for flexible material; and suitable for the application, which shall include consideration of moisture-resistant properties, effects of ultraviolet radiation, weather-proofness, aging properties, mechanical strength, flammability, and low-temperature resistance.
10. Each enclosure of an outdoor sign shall be provided with at least two drainage openings, not less than 6.40 mm, nor more than 13.0 mm in diameter, located at the lowest point in the enclosure as installed.
11. Mounting holes shall a) not exceed 129 mm² for each hole; and b) not exceed, in total area, 0.35% of the total area of the enclosure mounting surface, except that additional mounting holes may be provided in knockout form.
12. Ventilating holes shall a) not exceed 970 mm for each hole; and b) not exceed, in total area, 15% of the total area of the enclosure.
13. All electrical components shall be at least 6.3 mm from the bottom of an outdoor sign.
