LabTest Certification receives accreditation as a Notified Body (NB) for the EU ATEX Directive
Delta, BC (Canada), May 10, 2021 – We are pleased to announce that LabTest Certification Inc. has been accredited as a Notified Body for the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, to carry out evaluation of equipment used in Explosive Atmospheres and issue EU Type Examination and Quality Assurance Notification (QAN) Certificates and for the European Union.
This milestone aligns with the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) coming into effect. One of the agreement’s benefits is that it allows Canadian Conformity Assessment bodies to apply for Notified Body accreditation for selected EU directives.
