July 24, 2007 LabTest Certification Inc. is pleased to announce it has received its formal Standards Council of Canada accreditations as a Certification Body (CB). Granted on July 18, 2007, this accreditation empowers LabTest to certify electrical and electronic devices to CSA and UL standards, providing a significant new resource for manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers.

LabTest Strengthens North American Market Access with Standards Council of Canada Accreditations
With our new CB accreditations LabTest will be able to assist manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers to certify products to national product safety standards (CSA & UL). These Standards Council of Canada accreditations enable LabTest to offer manufacturers a more integrated approach to product compliance. Rather than managing separate testing and certification processes, clients can now work with a single partner throughout the entire evaluation process – from initial safety testing to final certification mark issuance. This streamlined approach reduces administrative complexity and helps accelerate market entry for products destined for Canadian and U.S. markets.
This new certification capability seamlessly integrates with our established testing infrastructure, which includes Western Canada’s registered Open Area Test Site for EMC testing. By combining these services, LabTest offers a comprehensive compliance solution from a single location, providing clients in the region with end-to-end safety and EMC evaluation without the need to coordinate with multiple laboratories.
This achievement establishes LabTest as the first testing laboratory in Western Canada able to provide a complete in-house testing and certification service for both product safety and EMC.
