Unapproved Electrical/Electronic, HazLoc, and Gas-fired equipment can be evaluated onsite at the manufacturing facility, point of installation, or distribution centre.
Accreditation
LabTest Certification is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) & International Accreditation Service (IAS) as an Inspection Body (Canada) and a Field Evaluations Body (FEB – U.S.A.).

CANADA
Special Inspections are a great solution for the approval of General Electrical Equipment (CSA SPE-1000) and Medical Electrical Equipment & Systems (CSA SPE-3000) produced in limited quantities and installed and operated in Canada.
The two model codes regulate approvals of Electrical/Electronic and Medical products installed in the field or still at the manufacturing facility, for compliance with Canadian Electrical Code requirements.

UNITED STATES
Together with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the nationally recognized safety standards that apply to the product being evaluated, NFPA 790/791 is the recommended practice and procedure for the Field Evaluation of unapproved Electrical equipment operated in the United States. With NFPA 791, products are labeled at the final installation site. In addition to being an OSHA-recognized NRTL, LabTest Certification is also an IAS (International Accreditation Service) accredited FEB (Field Evaluation Body).

- The applicable partes of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other requirements specified by the AHJ
